About Me

Hello! I’m Helen Ashton, an independent author who loves creating stories filled with warmth,

imagination and a little bit of magic.

My writing journey began during lockdown when I started creating adventures for my rescue cats,

Jade, Crystal and Thelma. What began as a fun creative project soon grew into The Cats of High

Tor, a world of curious cats, mischievous Hammys and magical adventures that continues to expand

with every new story and colouring book.

Inspired by the confidence those first books gave me, I decided to challenge myself to write

something completely different: a romance novel. That challenge became Tomorrow’s Heartbeat,

followed by Dead Girls Don’t Do Digital, proving to me that sometimes the best adventures begin

by simply trying something new.

Whether I’m writing about second chances, magical worlds or curious cats discovering new

adventures, my aim is always the same: to create books that make people smile and encourage

readers of every age to escape into a world of imagination.

Every book you see here has been independently created and published with love, making this

website a true home for everything I create.
